6 tips for a healthy happy summer 

 

1. Get outside: 

Exercise! Go swimming, on a nature hike, or ride a bike. Who says exercising has to be boring. 

 

2.Improve your heart health:

Take advantage of the slow summer schedule and unwind! Take a much needed vacation. It can lower blood pressure, heart rate, and stress. Prevent heart disease. 

 

3.Protect your eyes:

Wear protective eye wear. Sunglasses block at least 99 percent of UV A and B rays. Wear sunglasses to protect your vision and prevent wrinkles and cataracts. 

 

4.Take care of your skin:

Don't forget to apply sunscreen when outdoors! Even if its cloudy, the sun can still harm your skin. Take preventative measures to stay clear of Melanoma.

 

5.Dress for summer:

Invest in wicking clothes. Lightweight and breathable clothes are necessary to fight summer heat and will pull moisture away from your skin. Stay cool. 

 

6. Stay Hydrated:

Drink water throughout the day, not just before and after a work out. Also, drink a glass of water before every meal and when you feel hungry. Thirst is often confused with hunger.
